Dollarcity Chain Store Construction in Colombia

We are delighted to announce our role in the construction of a new Dollarcity store in Valle del Cauca Colombia. Started in 2009, Dollarcity is a prominent retail chain across Latin America, including with locations in Colombia, Guatemala, and Peru, operating 547 stores in total and 324 locations in Colombia. With a wide range of items, from household essentials to seasonal products, Dollarcity caters to diverse consumer needs, making it a popular choice in the region.

For this project, we supplied 664 tons of hot-rolled steel plates ASTM A572 GR.50, a high-strength, low-alloy steel chosen for its exceptional structural properties and ability to support a busy retail environment. This building structure steel plate provided crucial support, making sure of the store's stability and safety. Our adherence to quality standards and timely delivery played a vital role in meeting project deadlines and specifications.

Key Material Features

High Strength and Load-Bearing Capacity: It provides a minimum yield strength of 345 MPa and a tensile strength of 448 MPa, making it ideal for heavy-duty structural applications that require robust load-bearing capacity.

Enhanced Formability and Machinability: Its composition allows for good machinability and formability, making it suitable for a wide range of fabrication methods, including riveting, bolting, and welding, which enables precise and efficient construction processes.

Superior Corrosion Resistance: The alloying elements, such as columbium and vanadium, improve the steel's resistance to atmospheric corrosion, ensuring long-term durability and minimal maintenance, even in harsh environmental conditions.
